Thank You for your cooperation and patience
as the HR-Records and HRIS teams work to provide a smooth transition
into ePAF. We are deeply appreciative of the UCF community, as the
ePAF rollout would not have been possible without your support!
Last ePAF Roll-out Training
The last ePAF Training for the college and department roll-out
was held on September 8, 2008. On September 12, 2008, ePAF will
officially be in use for every college and department at UCF. As
a result, paper PAFs will no longer be accepted beginning October
1, 2008.

ePAF Security
Before departments can begin using ePAF, security must be granted.
To obtain ePAF security, the ePAF section of the Human
Resources Security Request Form must be completed and sent to
HR. The forms may be faxed, hand delivered, or mailed to HR as per
the instruction on the form.
When identifying Originators and Approvers, please ensure that
your department has both an Originator and Approver back-up in the
event that an Approver or Originator is out of the office. This
helps to streamline the ePAF process, and ensures that ePAFs are
created and approved in a timely manner.
User Access Types
- ePAF Originator:
The Originator will use the ePAF forms to initiate various HR
actions. Originator access is designated by the VP/Dean of each
college or department. Once an Originator submits an ePAF, the
form moves through the workflow to the Director/Chair Approver
or the VP/Dean Approver (if the department does not have a Director/Chair).
- ePAF Director/Chair Approver (optional):
The Director/Chair Approver is an optional role; however, colleges
or departments may assign a Director/Chair Approver role, if desired.
The Director/Chair Approver will use the ePAF to approve forms
through their worklist that were submitted by Originators. Once
the Director/Chair approves the HR action, the ePAF moves through
the workflow process to the VP/Dean Approver.ePAF VP/Dean Approver:
is a required role. Once the VP/Dean approves the action, the
ePAF moves through the workflow process to the next appropriate
approver.
- VP/Dean Approvers:
The VP/Dean Approver is a required role in the ePAF Workflow.
The VP/Dean Approver will use the ePAF to approve forms through
their worklist that were submitted by Originators. Once the VP/Dean
approves the HR action, the ePAF moves through the workflow process
to the next appropriate approver.
- Workflow Approvers:
After ePAFs receive approval from the VP/Deans and Director/Chairs,
the forms go through the appropriate workflow Approvers. Workflow
Approvers are Regional Campus, ORC Compliance, Graduate Studies,
Academic Affairs, HR – Compensation, HR – NRA, and
HR – Records.
