September 14 – October 9 th, 2009
Every year Open Enrollment gives employees an opportunity to take a look at their existing benefit plans to evaluate any anticipated needs and to make adjustments for upcoming plan year.

How to Enroll or Make Changes during Open Enrollment
State-sponsored benefits:
- Go online to make changes via the People First web site.
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- The People First Service Center (PFSC) at 1-866-663-4735 (TTY users call 866-221-0268) to enroll or make a change.
- Available Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Speak with a customer service representative to make your selections
- Submit a paper enrollment form to the PFSC.
- Available from the People First web site or the People First Service Center.
- Complete, make a copy for yourself, and mail directly to People First or fax 904-828-6092
You will need the user ID and password provided by People First to access your enrollment. If you don’t have a user ID or password, contact the People First Service Center (PFSC) for assistance. Please review the People First password guidelines for more information about an expired or forgotten password. Need help enrolling on the People First web site?

Open Enrollment Information Session
The Benefits Section of Human Resources will be hosting Open Enrollment Information Sessions to discuss plan changes for 2010. Registration for Sessions is completed through Employee Self Service via the myUCF portal, https://my.ucf.edu. The Course Name is “Open Enrollment.” Attendance to these sessions is voluntary but advised.
Below are the instructions to enroll in the informational sessions.

Registration for the Open Enrollment session is completed via the myUCF
portal. Employees will have the option of enrolling in any session. To
use the interactive system, go to www.my.ucf.edu and follow these simple
steps:
● Log on to the myUCF portal using your PID and myUCF password
● On the myUCF menu select Employee Self Service
● Next select Learning and Development
● Then select Request Training Enrollment
● Click the link “Choose by Course Name”
● Enter Open Enrollment then View available sessions

Benefits Fair
October 2rd : 9:00 am to 2:00 pm., Student Union, Pegasus Ballroom
Meet insurance and retirement vendors, win prizes, light refreshments, and learn more about 2010 plans.
Benefits section will also be making enrollment changes at the Fair.

Important Dates & Mailings
To provide employees with more information about changes for the 2010 plan year, here’s what to expect for key mailings and important dates for Open Enrollment:

August 31 - September 13, 2009
- People First will begin mailing participants' benefits statements to home addresses.
- People First Service Center will be available to provide information and assistance in preparation for Open Enrollment. Now's a good time to review plan information or re-establish your password.
September 14, 2009
- Open Enrollment begins. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. EST, employees may go online to the People First System to enroll or People First specialists will be available (866-663-4735. TTY 866-221-0268) to assist with elections and changes.
October 9, 2009
- Open enrollment closes at 5:30 p.m. EST. Confirmation statements are generally mailed shortly after open enrollment to employees who made elections or changes.
October 12-16, 2009
- Confirmation Statements will start being mailed out to employees who made changes to their enrollments.
October 12-30, 2009
- Corrections to Open Enrollment confirmation statements should be made by 5:30 p.m. EST. Employees must call the service center (1-866-663-4735. TTY 866-221-0268)
